Ben’s Soft Pretzels Goes Mobile
The Amish aren’t known for being on the forefront of technology, but that’s where Ben’s Soft Pretzels is headed. The Indiana-based business with the Amish heritage announced on Monday, April 2, that it is leveraging the power of mobile marketing by creating an app that allows users to use their phones to order on the go—and skip standing in line—at one of its bakeries. Ben’s isn’t your traditional soft pretzel, weighing in at nearly a half pound, with 11 different dipping sauces and non-conventional offerings such as Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel, Dutch Almond Pretzel, a Meatball Pocket Pretzel, Pretzel Dogs and Buggy Bites with cinnamon and sugar. The 14-year-old company has independent stores as well as locations within select Meijer and Walmart stores. The app also offers loyalty rewards points
