Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Make-A-Wish Launch ‘Bake-A-Wish’ Challenge

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is continuing its partnership with Make-A-Wish and has recently collaborated to host a first-ever Bake-A-Wish challenge. This campaign brings together Fairmont’s renowned chefs and Make-A-Wish alumni to co-create three unique desserts during a friendly showdown at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle.

The three alumni, Roux, Theo, and Jacqueline, were each paired with a chef to collaborate and share their idea of a dream dessert. From there, the chefs would create a treat that’s inspired by their partner. The final three creations will be added to participating menus across the globe of 92 Fairmont hotels.

Each pairing was encouraged to dream big to inspire a one-of-a-kind treat. Roux loves chocolate and marshmallows, inspiring Chef Eraj’s to create a s’mores cake. Theo’s coconut tres leches with caramelized pineapple dessert by Chef Nancy was inspired by a family tradition of making pineapple upside-down cake with his grandfather. Lastly, Jacqueline’s passionfruit strawberry yogurt cake made by Chef Isabel was inspired by her deep love for strawberries. During the judging, Chef Isabel’s strawberry yogurt cake receive the highest praises earning her the winning title of the Bake-A-Wish competition. Launching on April 29th, on World Wish Day, Fairmont Hotels will select one of these three desserts to be offered for a limited time with proceeds donated back to Make-A-Wish.

Fubo Now Offers Personalized Alerts During NBA Playoffs

Fubo, the streaming cable service, has introduced personalized push notifications during the 2025 NBA Playoffs, aiming to enhance viewer engagement. These alerts notify subscribers about upcoming games and provide real-time updates on scores and pivotal moments. Currently, the notifications focus on games broadcasted on ESPN, as Fubo does not have the rights to TNT Sports Channels. This initiative aligns Fubo with other platforms like ESPN and Apple, which offer similar real-time sports updates to their users.

Beyond notifications, Fubo is leveraging its Multiview feature, allowing users to watch multiple games simultaneously on supported devices such as Apple TV and Roku Ultra. This feature offers more customization compared to YouTube TV, which have limited Multiview options. By integrating these functionalities, Fubo aims to provide a more immersive and flexible viewing experience for sports fans.

Fubo offers three tiers of service – the Pro, Elite, and Latino. The Pro and Elite plan include streaming access to local broadcast stations such as ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, and CW Network, national cable networks, and regional sports channels. Both plans will require subscribers to pay regional sports taxes and fees. Fubo Latino has over 50 channels of Spanish-language programming, making it one of the few streaming cable alternatives to offer dedicated Spanish channels.

Bilt Rewards Adding Japan Airlines as Transfer Partner in Near Future

Bilt Rewards is reportedly preparing to add Japan Airlines (JAL) as a new transfer partner, marking a significant enhancement to its travel rewards program. This development was first observed by Reddit users who noticed the JAL logo appearing within the Bilt Rewards app, suggesting an imminent partnership. While Bilt has not officially confirmed this addition, the inclusion of JAL would provide members with direct access to JAL Mileage Bank, enabling redemptions on Japan Airlines flights and its Oneworld alliance partners. This move would be particularly beneficial for travelers interested in premium cabin experiences to Asia.

While it was live, Bilt showed a 1:1 transfer ratio, allowing users to transfer 1,000 Bilt Rewards points for 1,000 Mileage Bank miles. However, until this partner is officially announced, users can utilize Bilt’s other transfer partners.
