PetSmart Partners With Aimia to Improve Pet Parent Experience

PetSmart, the pet specialty retailer, has announced the launch of PetSmart Treats, its new loyalty program. The loyalty program is available in more than 1,600 locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada, as well as online and through PetSmart’s mobile app.
 
PetSmart partnered with Aimia, a global provider of loyalty solutions, to create the program, which is focused on rewarding pet owners with relevant offers and incentives. The points-based program enables members to earn points every time they shop in-store, online, or donate to PetSmart Charities. It also rewards them with discounts on the items of their choice and hundreds of other products.

Sign-up instructions and additional details on offers and incentives for PetSmart loyalty members can be found by visiting www.petsmart.com/treats. In addition, PetSmart’s mobile app enables members to view their statuses and the availability of their rewards whenever they want.

News of the PetSmart Treats loyalty program comes in the wake of a recent campaign from PetSmart Charities, called #PicMe, designed to find homes for 25,000 pets. The campaign asks social media users to capture photographs (“pics”) of adoptable pets and share them on various platforms to encourage others to adopt, or pick, them. Together, the campaign and the new loyalty program marks a concerted effort on PetSmart’s part to improve the lives of animals and animal lovers.
