Walmart Partners with Advance Auto Parts
 
Walmart has partnered with Advance Auto Parts in an effort to compete with Amazon’s 2017 expansion into the auto market. The partnership will bring an auto parts store page to Walmart.com, enabling customers to purchase automotive necessities online. The plan is to have the store page up and running in the first half of 2019.
 
“This year, we’ve been incredibly focused on building our offering on Walmart.com to ensure we have the specialty assortment that our customers are looking for,” says Phillip Oaks, Walmart eCommerce’s Vice President and Group General Manager for Retail Merchandising. “This comprehensive partnership will enhance almost every aspect of the automotive customer shopping experience—from the product offering online to fulfillment capabilities.”
 
Pure Storage Receives Excellent NPS Four Years Running
 
Pure Storage, which provides an all-flash storage platform, has announced that its Net Promoter Score has increased to 86.6. This is the fourth year in a row the company’s score has increased, which indicates that the company has committed to offering exceptional customer experiences and delivering of data-driven solutions.
 
“A standardized CX measure is critical because it encourages discussion at an industry level of what is truly important when determining how to tailor customer experience,” says Eric Burgener, Vice President of Research at the International Data Corporation. “It allows for apples-to-apples comparisons across vendors that customers may use when making purchase decisions, and leads to an ecosystem of available talent and consultancies that can help vendors more effectively use a standardized customer experience metric to improve customer experience. Pure’s score of 86.6 demonstrates how much their customers would recommend their brand.”
