Popeyes Recruits Out-of-Work Musicians to Re-Record Jingle
 
Popeye’s has announced it is looking to hire musicians currently out of a job to re-record its jingle. To participate in this campaign, a musician needs to record a video and post it on social media campaign #LoveThatJingle. Then, those selected will be paid by the company and have their work used on the brand’s media channels. “Popeyes’ success last year was unlike anything any of us have seen in our careers,” Cil told investors in a Marketing Dive article. “It’s resilience in the face of COVID-19 with dining rooms closed across the country is equally remarkable.”

H-E-B and Favor Celebrate National Nurses Week
 
H-E-B, in partnership with Favor, announced it delivered more than 4,000 plants and floral bouquets last week to thank nurses for what they are doing during the pandemic. These donations went to more than 20 hospitals in the Texas hospital system.
 
“Nurses are the heartbeat of our healthcare system. They are selfless champions filled with caring and kindness,” said Winell Herron, Group Vice President of Public Affairs, Diversity and Environmental Affairs, in an H-E-B press release. “We are forever thankful for these hard-working heroes on the frontlines who sacrifice daily to protect the health of our communities.”

Americans Increased Impulse Spending by 18 Percent During the COVID-19 Pandemic, According to New Survey Commissioned by Slickdeals
 
Slickdeals has announced that, after conducting a 2,000-person survey, research says shoppers are more impulsive than before the pandemic. Also, according to the press release, the study said that 72 percent of people said buying something during the pandemic positively affected their mood.
 
“In these uncertain times, consumers are looking to stretch their dollars even further, and impulse purchasing can actually serve as a tool to do so,” said Slickdeals CEO Josh Meyers in a press release. “While someone may not plan to buy laundry detergent or groceries on a given day, stocking up on these everyday items when there’s a great deal available can help your budget. As such, impulse spending can be associated with saving money in the long-run as opposed to being wasteful.”
 
Klarna Partners with Sephora for a More Flexible Shopping Experience
 
Klarna has announced it has partnered with Sephora to allow customers to take advantage of the payment brand’s installment option. This option allows someone to make four equal payments with no interest. “Ease and convenience play an instrumental role in the Sephora client experience, and as a digital leader we have always adapted to the evolving needs of our beauty community and their shopping journey,” said Kim Stromberg, Vice President and General Manager of e-Commerce at Sephora in a press release. “With Klarna, we can continue to provide our clients the seamless shopping experience they know and love while increasing flexibility in our checkout offerings.”
