Movie Club Now Half a Million Strong

Cinemark’s loyalty program, Movie Club, has reached 500,000 members. This new total catches Cinemark up with its rival, AMC, whose loyalty program reached the half million mark in November. This expansion is projected to boost concession revenue and provide data.

“The popularity of Movie Club continues to grow as more of our moviegoers recognize the value that our program provides,” says Cinemark CEO Mark Zoradi. “Features like our new gifting program have driven member acquisition, and unique member benefits, such as rollover tickets, have driven member retention and helped us reach this impressive milestone.”

DSW Loyalty Program’s Results

DSW executives are pleased with early results from its revamped loyalty program, and they told analysts that the information the company gleans from it will inform not only its assortments, but also personalization of its marketing and merchandising.

The company excelled in several measures, in part because it’s being underestimated, according to William Blair analyst Dylan Carden. “Combined with a 25 million active loyalty base, DSW’s advantages in a consolidating footwear market continue to be overly discounted, in our view,” Carden says.
