Autani Partners with SnapWalk for Increased Navigation

Autani, LLC, a proven leader in building controls and IoT, announced it is partnering with SnapWalk to deliver integrated wayfinding services via Bluetooth wireless technology in Autani's Energy Manager. SnapWalk's wayfinding application provides building and campus navigation via the user's mobile device, making it ideal for use in hospitals, colleges, malls, museums, and other public spaces.

Kristina Kunkle, Director of Marketing for Autani, spoke with Loyalty360 about its new partnership with SnapWalk.

“Visitors can use their phones to navigate through large public spaces like malls, museums, hospitals, cruise ships, and college campuses,” Kunkle said. “SnapWalk and all of its products are specifically designed to be user friendly and work on any web enabled device. The products work through a unique interface indicating a pathway between any two client identified locations inside a building or on a campus. The pathway is drawn with our Dynamic Path Generation protocol, which is then displayed. Each product utilizes our proprietary informatics platform to draw maps specific for each client’s specific needs.”

The uniqueness of SnapWalk is the combination of technologies.

“It utilizes both Bluetooth and GPS technologies to provide dynamic navigation for both indoor and multi-building use. Additionally, wayfinding points can be deployed separately or integrated with other controls equipment sold by Autani.”

Autani believes users will continue to gain value from their product and services over the coming years because of how diversified their offerings are. They believe the insights that can be delivered from their products and services are reliable and comprehensive.

“Our building management platform began focusing on IoT integration while it was still an emerging technology. We’ve continued to refine our product and service offerings to ensure our users are getting the most value out of their systems, which can include maintenance prediction, space utilization, and analytics that provide actionable insights—not just a mountain of data. As IoT capabilities evolve, we anticipate that building owners, managers, and occupants will all come to rely on the actionable insights provided by a comprehensive network of sensors deployed throughout the interior and exterior of their buildings.”
