VRX Simulators and NAGRA Partner for Unique CX

VRX Simulators creator of the world's most advanced racing and flight simulators and NAGRA, a Kudelski Group company and the leading provider of digital content distribution and content protection, announced a partnership last week to further develop VRX's SIM racing program in theaters through the myCinema platform and ecosystem.

The in-venue, community focused eSports program expands eSports exhibition to local communities at a scale that is not currently out in the market.

Declan Dinnadge, General Manager at VRX, believes the NAGRA approach makes for a great partnership.

“NAGRA have a unique approach to Cinema and are creating a footprint that fits very well with the geographies where drivers, teams, race fans and gamers are aggregated. We are excited about partnering with NAGRA and also leveraging the myCinema platform that will help VRXeSports scale our own backend with loyalty systems and data analytics that will help drive our viewer and revenue growth.”

Dinnadge tells Loyalty360 the connected and immersive entertainment experience is not a new norm for people and this is just another step forward.

“Gaming has always been immersive and is also now increasingly a near-real experience with virtual and augmented reality. eSports takes this one step further by incorporating these technologies into a competitive environment, which increases the level of immersion when the experience can be shared by multiple people.”

The partnership is another example of linear and VoD experiences decreasing in popularity. The customer experience is no longer what it once was.

“This is happening quicker than you might think. The GenX and millennial demographic are already elusive if not unreachable through linear and VoD experiences.”

Machines and humans connecting in the gaming world, which was once unique, is now a business model that is challenging the norm.

“We will continue to innovate and challenge the norm, bringing simulated and VR experiences to other Sports hungry for a direct connection between games, machines and humans.  We are in R&D cycles in many areas including remote control of physical machines and haptics research.”
