$300,000 to Deliver Packages?
Can Amazon do no wrong anymore? We try not to write about them every week, yet they continue implementing remarkably unique new strategies. This week, Amazon announced their new delivery service. Entrepreneurial delivery services can apply for around $10,000 in expenditures. Amazon offers these small businesses discounts on gas and supplies, uniforms, and even discounted trucks. According to Amazon, these entrepreneurs can earn roughly $300,000 in one year. “Amazon’s plan is to start each company in the program with just five delivery trucks while employees train, and increase the company’s fleet to no more than 40 trucks and 100 employees.”

Living the ‘James Bond’ Life…
For as little as $85 million, you can buy a chunk of the island chain where ‘James Bond,’ and Pirates of the Caribbean’ were shot. Little Pipe Cay is about 270 miles away from Miami and is located in the central part of the Bahamas. “Completely uninhabited until very recently, it still boasts an astonishing 38 acres of relatively untouched island land. It also comes with four pure white-sand beaches that stretch out into the clear blue sea.” The island took 15 years to prepare for sale, but now is fully equipped and ready for one buyer to start living the movie star lifestyle. So go ahead, dig into that spare change drawer in your car, whip out the $85 million in quarters, and move to paradise.
